At the South of Athens, at the edge of the Corinth Canal, this small archipelago is nestled within one of the beautiful bays in Greece. Easily accessible from the capital, it used to be the VIP resort of the rich and famous of Greece’s elite.   • Aegina: the Archaeological Museum, the Ellenius Zeus temples of Aphaia, Agios Nektarios Monastery of the Church of Faneroméni
  • Hydra: the Cathedral, the port and its narrow streets, its old houses (“Archontika”), the village of Kalo Pigadi; cars are prohibited.
  • Poros: Monastery Zoodochos Pighi and the magnificent iconostasi of the XVIII s, the remnants of the Sanctuary of Apollo, the village of Galatas.
